CFX installation problem

Added by Simon Boese , last edited by Simon Boese on Jul 02, 2010 13:30

I wanted to try out CFX-1.0.0 on Confluence3.0.0_01 running on a Opensuse 11.x 32bit and therefore followed the instructions from the "Console Installation on a Mac OS X or Linux server" section.

I wasn't able to complete the installation due to

Validation failed, please verify your input
Select target path [/home/confluence/cfx-1.0.0/CFxInstaller]

after the licence aggreement.

First, I tried to provide the confluence installation directory, then I tried the conflunence WEB-INF directory, both in various ways (including slash and without) like this:
/homeconfluence/confluence-3.0.0_01-std/confluence/WEB-INF

The question is what is meant by "target path"?

Thanks for helping

    Hello Simon,

When you are prompted to select the "target path", you have to specify the WEB-INF directory of your Confluence instance.

Did you manage to get ConfluenceFx working by providing the WEB-INF directory path?

I have updated the documentation in the "Console Installation on a Mac OS X or Linux server" part.

    Best regards.
